FASt Reports for Fiori

SAP Fiori is the new User Experience for SAP applications. Most of the customers started building own applications based on Fiori principles & guidelines as Fiori provides responsive, simple, coherent and role based access to SAP applications. However, customers have invested a lot in the past years on various SAP programs (Function Modules, ALV Reports, SQVi Reports) to support various end user needs. Fiorization of these programs is a major challenge and needs lots of re-investment. Redeveloping all the apps on Fiori may not be the viable solution as it costs more time & money. Is there a simple/generic way to enable these programs on Fiori? Yes, FASt Reports for Fiori provides a simple framework which makes it possible to enable some of these programs on Fiori. What is FASt Reports for Fiori?  Using FASt, F unction Modules(ready), A LV Reports and S QVi reports can be Fiorized without additional coding but just with simple configurations on Fiori Launchpad.

XOVP for Fiori

XOVP is a plug and play dashboard app which enables us to create Overview Pages/Dashboards without writing any UI code. We do not need WebIDE to create OVPs. The XOVP admin app provides a simple view to create the dashboards. Each dashboard can be assigned to different user groups through catalogs. And each card can be mapped to respective fields. You can choose from more than 13 card types and use them in your dashboard. Navigation from XOVP to other Fiori Apps is much simpler than before. With simple configurations, we can enable the drill down to other Fiori Apps. And built in i18n model enables us to support multinational users again without leaving the admin app. Create your OData service as per your business need and create OVP dashboard with simple clicks. The following table shows differences between standard OVP and XOVP. OVP XOVP Requires WebIDE knowledge to build new Overview Pages. No WebIDE skill required and new Overview Pages can be

We found Amazon Alexa would be an option and planned to build a Virtual Receptionist with Alexa which could do basic receptionist job like greeting employees, helping visitors etc. We named the internal project as ‘Alexa VR’. In February 2017 after many struggles, we received Echo Dot from eBay as Alexa is officially not available to purchase in India. We have asked Sai Kiran Kotha who joined as fresher to explore Alexa and to develop new skills using Amazon Alexa Platform. Within first 2 weeks Sai Kiran was ready with his first prototype. He learned and developed the basic skills required to get started with Alexa. We had a quick discussion and came up with a basic design to develop receptionist skill. Integrated Alexa with our Employe
